What it is
Live resin uses the same fresh-frozen input as live rosin but extracts with hydrocarbons (butane/propane blends) instead of presses. Propane in particular pulls delicate monoterpenes, giving live resin its famously loud aroma.
How it's made
Fresh-frozen material is extracted cold in a closed loop, then purged gently. The result ranges from saucy (terpene-rich liquid with crystals) to badder. Usually cheaper than live rosin at similar quality because yields are higher.
How it's consumed
Low-temp dabbing. 'Sauce' textures benefit from a cold start so terpenes don't flash off.
