What it is
A temple ball is hash pressed and hand-rolled into a polished sphere, traditionally wrapped and aged. The spherical form minimizes air exposure: the outside oxidizes into a protective skin while the inside slowly cures.
How it's made
Modern temple balls are usually pressed dry sift or bubble hash, rolled by hand until the surface turns glossy. Collectors age them like wine — six months in, the interior darkens and the aroma deepens toward chocolate, coffee and incense.
How it's consumed
Slice or pinch off a piece; warm between fingers. Smoke, vaporize, or dab if the grade melts cleanly.
