What it is
Distillate is cannabis oil refined by short-path or wiped-film distillation until it is almost pure THC (or CBD). Everything else — terpenes, waxes, minor cannabinoids — is removed. It is the base ingredient of most vape cartridges and precisely dosed edibles.
How it's made
Crude extract is winterized, decarboxylated, then distilled under deep vacuum; cannabinoids boil off at precise temperatures and condense into a clear, viscous oil.
How it's consumed
Rarely dabbed directly — it lacks flavor. Found in vape carts, edibles, tinctures and capsules where dosing precision matters.
Terpenes
Stripped — flavor is re-added or absent; this is about THC content
